The Track
Our track is a 1/4-mile, semi-banked, clay oval that is fast and has lots of room for racing action! Speeds can reach nearly 100 mph in some classes.
The Track Promoter
Track owner and promoter, Roger Archer, has been a racetrack operator for 28 years. 19 of those years have been spent in Ennis, at 85 Speedway, the oldest racing facility in Ellis County. Previously, Roger owned Texas All-Star Speedway in Bellmead, Texas, but sold the track in 1995 to relocate to Ennis.
Roger was born and raised around cars his entire childhood and raced his first car when he was 9 years old. By the age of 26, he was racing sprint cars and traveling to tracks in Texas, New Mexico, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Oklahoma to race with Johnny Rutherford, Jim McElreath, Eldon Dodson and many others. After 22 years of racing, Roger finally decided to stop racing and put all his talent into owning a racetrack. Still today, it continues to be a family affair since Roger is surrounded by his daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters, who also work at the track each week.

Our regular racing season starts in March and continues each week through September with special shows scheduled after the season ends.
When?
Regular Shows - Gates Open at 6 pm and Races Start at 8 pm (moved to 8:30 at the end of summer)
Special Shows - Times will vary
How much?
Regular Shows - Adults - $12, Children (6-12) - $5, Children (5 and under) - Free
Pit Admission - $25, Car Registration - $30 for all classes, IMCA Registration required for IMCA Modified and IMCA SportMod classes
Special Shows - Prices will vary
Where?
Our physical address is 3118 E FM or Hwy 85, Ennis, Texas 75119. Our directions are: From I-45, Exit 249 and turn left under I-45. Continue 5.2 miles on FM 85. Racetrack is on right hand side.
Rain Out Policy: All sales are final. No refunds, no exceptions. The race program is considered complete if all of the Heat Races have been completed. Remaining races may be run as part of a future program, at the discretion of the track management. If the event is rained out, wrist bands and tickets must be presented at the next race to receive the rain out credit.
Ice chests are permitted with NO GLASS BOTTLES.
